Why Aren’t They Happy?
I just read an interesting article. It claims that, with all the “progress” made by the feminist movement, women today are less happy than they were 40 years ago.
Check out the full article from Marcus Buckingham. He spends a lot of his time wondering, though, just why this is the case – and people have left hundreds of comments debating that issue.
I think the problem is that the feminists are off on entirely the wrong track.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe women are “equal” to men in that they are not inferior… This refers to a person’s worth, as distinct from their role in an organization or family.
I do not agree, however, that women and men are, can be, or should be the same. And therein lies the rub.
So why would women be unhappy?
Maybe because, in putting aside their job as a keeper of the home for a “career,” they are operating outside the natural and harmonious order of creation.
Maybe because, in putting their own “satisfaction” above the needs of their family, they are actually depriving themselves of the joy and fulfillment that comes from walking in God’s will.

I agree entirely!
